Plastic Prototype Parts Engineering and Fabrication
Laser-CutZ can produce plastic parts of any complexity, fast prototypes can be done on 3D printers, more reliable parts can be fabricated with CNC milling (as shown on the photo) and final production ready units can be produced by using mold injection technology to reduce per unit costs.
Not every machine can do curved surfaces and cylinders, our state of the art laser machine can work with objects that need rotation when they are being engraved. Featured project demonstrates wooden vase base engraved with client logo. This engraving is ideal for marketing and product showcases.
Laser cutting is by far more superior and efficient comparing to conventional knife cutting of architectural models. CO2 laser can do both cutting and engraving (scoring) at the same time and as result delivered plates have additional visual decorations. Shown project is large building; actual model is about 2 feet tall.
We always look for opportunities to improve our production process to deliver better products to our clients. Our new rigid soap stamps are better in durability as well as visual look. Rigid stamps will be shipped with ½” base plate which guarantees that stamp does not bend when pressure is applied, more over quality of cut is more crisp as material thickens is just right to absorb the energy from laser beam. Thick clear acrylic material will be used for all deep engraved orders. Regular engraved orders may still come in various materials.
High volume businesses don’t have time for conventional prototyping cycle as some times you need to have part designed, tested and approved same day. This was a case for Brooklyn’s world famous Coney Island Luna Park. Laser-CutZ where able to deliver 3D printed prototype part same day.
Sometimes you need to add corporate identity to your tools, this project had silk screen wood tool engraved with company logo on both sides.
3D printing changes all filed that deal with fabrication and fitment, this includes medical industries such as dental, hearing aid, orthopedics and others that require produced parts to be fitted to the human body. Specifically for dental application existing teeth can be scanned directly or first molded and then scanned, once 3D model is obtained we can 3D print it on very high quality printer then lab technician can fabricate implant and test fitment with real model on his desk. This increases speed of delivery for dental processing which means that same doctor or same lab can service more clients faster. Laser-CutZ has capacity to deliver 3D printed medical models same or next day. In addition to teeth and implant fabrication we can work with clear and flexible material such as 3d printed rubber.
